Free CNE/CME (CE) - Self-Study Modules
This site provides continuing education for physicians (MDs), advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNPs), physician assistants (PAs), nurses, and nurse-midwives.
The continuing education activity on this site, including continuing education credit, is provided free of charge. Funding for the site was provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Professional Credit for STD Self Study Modules
Each topic overview and module requires approximately 60 minutes to complete. To apply for continuing education credit:
- read the topic overview,
- complete the activities,
- correctly answer all the CE questions on the quiz,
- select either CME or CNE (depending upon your discipline and the certificate you wish to receive),
- complete and submit the evaluation form,
- print your own certificate.
Records of all your CE activity on this site can be viewed either on the CNE or CME sites under the header "CME Tracker & CME Certificates" or "CNE Tracker and CNE Certificates."
You are welcome to take the self-assessment quizzes even if you do not need continuing education credit. You can submit your answers to track your progress without earning CE credit.
